Let's Ask Miss Cloude!

scolding, I don't give a damnThat story about the end of the world just got boring! At the Social Networking, the most people are making the same ill and predictable jokes, Dude! This just became a pain in the butt.

I'm asking myself what the great leaders of the world are planning to do with this bunch of useless information. Since even the great media has stayed talking about it all the time.  Would it be for people to buy more? To discredit once and for all the end of the world? Or to prepare the people to the "Novus Seclus"? One thing is right, This goddamn lack of creativity sucks!

One Less Creative Person on the World!

animator 2dThe Dutch animator winner of the Golden Bear , Gerrit van Dijk,  died now on December 4th and left us his work of art . I liked his 2D techniques, he used many times the rotoscopy technique with Pencil Drawing Effect having an insight into social injustice.

his wise words about school:

"You only learn technique. The creativity you learn is no creativity at all. You know exactly what colour socks you should wear and what your hair should look like, but not how to put something on paper"

Newtown, Connecticut

Kids scared, Newton, Connecticut
I'm very interested in stories and events that happen in small cities, towns and villages around the world without preconception, the microcosm of people really leaves me fascinated. However, the massacre in elementary school that left 26 dead disturbed my mind, most of them were innocent children between  5 and 10 years old.

(above terrified kids in Newtown, Connecticut. Below; João Hélio)

boy who was victim of two burglars
This tragedy reminds me of a news item I saw some time ago on the brazilian television about that little boy, João Hélio, who was dragged along seven km (4.35 mi), tied to the safety belt of his mother's car. In both cases, the media has clearly shown that the cowardice against children can strike, with great brutality, anywhere in the world.

Anyway, when the subject is child, the media must really pay full attention, without stereotyped preconceptions and prejudice based on race, religion, gender or economic situation. I recently watched a video about a Leopard that kills a monkey and discovers that it had a newborn baby, the leopard showed more respect for other race than we have for each other.

Is the Privatization of Water a Good Idea?

Everybody always tells me about the benefits of privatization when the theme is the economy, that story about competition between companies, resulting in a better price, efficiency and delivery of services.

In Votorantim, people are without waterHowever, the same people forget frequently some contradictions of capitalism as dumping and monopoly, Nobody here is blindly defending the communism against the capitalism, but... What happens when the privatization of the Water System occurs with such monopoly? What happens to the poor people?

Well, I haven't the theoretical knowledge to respond, but the city that I have just mentioned in the last post can respond to us. Votorantim is in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The defeated candidate for re-election, Carlos Augusto Pivetta, has privatized the Water System and  the result is people with more expensive bills to pay and no water!

Economists like David Martimort and Stéphane Straub show us with some mathematical formulas the discontent in relation to privatizations expressed by citizens all over Latin America (would it be the case of Votorantim?). In practice, the people around the world can see the population discontent through those images.
